What the photo shoot includes
Every shoot is adapted to the property, but the four building blocks stay the same.
Interior photography – HDR and flambient
Living room, kitchen, bedrooms, bathroom and terrace are shot from a tripod with a wide-angle lens and several exposures. HDR blending lifts dark corners while windows remain readable. Where it helps, we add flash (flambient) so colours and materials look natural. Every frame is levelled – there are no leaning walls in our galleries.
Exterior photography – facade, garden, pool and surroundings
The first impression is usually made outside: entrance, facade, barbecue area, pool or the view from the terrace. We choose the time of day so the building sits in its best light – for villas often at a different hour than the interiors.
Drone photography – location and surroundings from the air
Aerial images show what ground photos cannot: the distance to the beach, the view of the old town, the entire plot. Our pilots are certified and know the flight rules in Croatia. Drone photos and short 4K clips work particularly well as the cover image.
Twilight – the premium shot
In the blue hour, with interior and pool lights on and the last light in the sky, we create the image that separates your listing from every other one. We recommend twilight for properties with a pool, a large terrace or a sea view – that is where it brings the most extra clicks.

Process: from enquiry to delivery in 48 hours
This is how working with Air Foto looks:
1. Enquiry and quote
Briefly describe the property: town, number of rooms, whether there is a pool, garden or sea view and which services you want (interiors, exteriors, drone, twilight). You receive a fixed quote with no hidden costs.
2. Scheduling around weather and light
We match the date to the forecast and the position of the sun. A property with a west-facing terrace is planned differently from an apartment with morning sun. If it rains, we reschedule free of charge.
3. Preparing the property
You receive a short checklist: tidy up, smooth the beds, remove personal items, check the lights. Better preparation means a faster shoot and better photos.
4. The shoot on location
For an apartment with two or three rooms we plan 60 to 90 minutes; for a holiday home or villa with a pool two to four hours including the drone. We work calmly, style small details and photograph each room from its two or three strongest angles.
5. Editing and delivery
Each image is edited individually: exposure, colour, perspective, distracting details. You receive the finished photos within 48 hours as a download link – in full resolution for print and web, and optimised for Booking.com and Airbnb.

We share these tips with every client before the shoot.
Less is more
Clear worktops, bedside tables and bathrooms. Personal items, cleaning products, cables and promotional leaflets distract from the space. Two or three decorative pieces per room are plenty.
All lights on, windows open
For the shoot we switch on every lamp – including the cooker hood and bedside lights. Curtains and blinds go all the way up, windows are cleaned. Replace blown bulbs beforehand.
Beds and textiles like a hotel
Smooth bed linen, symmetrically placed pillows, fresh towels rolled or folded in the bathroom. It is the cheapest way to make an apartment look expensive.
Do not forget the outdoor space
Sweep the terrace, put cushions on the garden furniture, clean the pool, move cars and bins out of the frame. Guests book summer outdoors – show it.
The right time of day
Rooms with east-facing windows are shot in the morning, west-facing terraces in the afternoon. An apartment photographer plans this for you – but if you add your own photos later, stick to the same rule.
Straight lines at eye level
The camera sits on a tripod at roughly door-handle height and is levelled precisely. Walls stay vertical and rooms look neither distorted nor tiny. It is the most visible difference between phone shots and professional real estate photography.

The price depends on the size and type of property and on the services you choose. A single apartment with interior and exterior photos is the most affordable option; drone and twilight can be added as modules. For houses with several apartments and for agencies we offer package rates.

How much does it cost to have a vacation rental photographed?
The price depends on the size of the property and the services you choose. How long does a photo shoot for an apartment or villa take?
For an apartment with two or three rooms we plan 60 to 90 minutes. A holiday home or villa with a pool, garden and drone photography takes two to four hours. Twilight photography happens separately during the blue hour and takes around 45 minutes.
How many photos do I get?
For an apartment we usually deliver 20 to 35 fully edited photos; for a villa or holiday home 40 to 80 images including exteriors and drone shots. The exact number is defined in the quote. You receive all images in full resolution and optimised for Booking.com, Airbnb and your website.
Do I have to be present during the shoot?
No. Many of our clients hand us the key or the entry code and let us work on our own. If you would like to be there you are of course welcome – especially useful when you want to point out favourite angles of the property.
How do I prepare the property?
Tidy up, remove personal items and cleaning products, smooth the beds, lay out fresh towels, check every light bulb, clean the windows, prepare the terrace and pool. After booking we send you a detailed checklist so everything is ready on the day of the shoot.
Do you work across all of Istria?
Yes. Our studio is in Poreč, but we photograph throughout Istria and Kvarner: Umag, Novigrad, Vrsar, Rovinj, Pula, Medulin, Labin, Rabac, Motovun, Buzet, Opatija and Rijeka.
